Mission Statement

The mission of the Office of Archives and Records is fivefold: 1) to serve as a resource to the Bishop, Diocesan Curia, parishes, schools, and Diocesan institutions; 2) to aid in the systematic management of all Diocesan information: including records, data, and patrimonial goods; 3) to function as the official repository for the Diocese's historical information; 4) to preserve the Diocese's historical information and 5) to make available the Diocese's historical information to those interested in the history of the Roman Catholic Church in the state of Utah.

The Archives of the Diocese of Salt Lake City is a closed, non-circulating collection. Access to the collection is by appointment only, Mondays through Fridays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. To schedule a research appointment, please contact the Director of Archives and Records.
